Holiday Cookie Fundraiser

The holiday season is the time for the Highland Lakes Democratic Women’s Cookie Fundraiser benefiting their Scholarship Fund. Each year HLDW grants $1500 scholarships to adult and high school learners. On December 6 the bakers brought their cookies to Nancy Fehr’s house, where an assembly line was set up by Patty Kane, Cookie Chair. Teams assembled the boxes and then passed them on to the next team for finishing touches. A total of $1200 was raised this year and a good time was had by all!

HDLW Christmas Cookies are a highlight of the Season. They're my favorite Christmas treat and make great gifts for friends. Knowing they help fund HLDW scholarships makes them taste even better.

I've been getting cookies for years now and I want to say that this year's batch is the best ever. The variety, the decorations, and the presentation are simply wonderful. Bravo to the bakers! And bravo to HLDW for doing this!
